The Petrolex Kanu Cup match was played in London on September 30 to raise funds for the Kanu Heart Foundation.

The game was attended by premier league legends of African origin on one side and legends from other parts of the world on the other.

Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, was a guest of honour at the Hive stadium.

Arsene Wenger managed Kanu Nwankwo while at Arsenal. The Frenchman honoured the former Gunner at the Kanu Charity Cup match

Kanu Nwankwo’s former Super Eagles teammate, Osaze Odemwingie played in the game.

Daniel Amokachi, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Danny Shittu and Ogbonnaya Kanu are other former Nigerian internationals that featured in the game.

Other African players who featured in the game include Kolo Toure, Mouruane Chamakh and Lauren Etame Mayer.
