Manchester United started its campaign  in the new season on a fine start, with a 2-1 win over Leicester, courtesy of goals from Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw.

France international, Paul Pogba, scored the opening goal of the  the game and season through a penalty, three minutes into the match.

Defender, Luke Shaw netted the game’s second in the 83rd minute – scoring his first senior goal – before Jamie Vardy pulled one back for the Foxes, two minutes into time added on.

After the result, Pogba promised to give more to United fans and fellow teammates as they look to beat Manchester City for the EPL title.

“I’ll always give my best to the fans and my teammates no matter what’s going on.”

The 25-year-old Russia 2018 World Cup winner’s commitment to the team and fans comes just days after speculated move away from Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho’s United finished second – 19 points – behind Pep Guardiola’s City last season who ended on a high record century point.

United’s next game is away to Brighton Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on August 18.
