Kenneth Omeruo Pleads ‘Just A Game’ For ChelseaChelsea’s Nigeria international defender, Kenneth Omeruo would still love to play for the club despite being loaned to several clubs by the Blues.
Omeruo joined Chelsea in 2012 but has not appeared in any competitive game for the Blues.
He has been loaned to clubs in England (Middlesborough), Turkey (Kasimpasa and Alyanyaspor) before joining la liga side, Leganes for the current league season.
The 25-year-old made his first la liga start at the weekend but was substituted in the 69th minute due to an injury.
With his Chelsea contract coming to an end in 2020, Omeruo still expresses hope of marching out of the tunnel in a Blues shirt, even if it is just once.
“Leganes have an option to sign me permanently and I would like to give everything to stay in the league,” the Super Eagles defender whose work permit was only sorted in the month said.
“I’ve played in the English championship (Middlesborough), I’ve gotten a feel of that but La Liga is very good.
“If I end up playing for Chelsea someday fine, because it is one of the biggest teams in the world and they have the highest fan base in Nigeria.
“I would love to play for them, even if it’s just a game, but right now I am very happy with my life here in Spain.”
